Marlon Wayans Fires Back at Racism Charges Over ‘Unrhythmic White Woman’ Instagram

The internet took the “White Chicks” actor to task for an Instagram photo, but the comedian is not backing down

Internet backlash usually goes one of two ways: The person who incited the backlash immediately backs down, backpedals and apologizes, or they stick to their guns and go on the offensive.

Marlon Wayans, Hollywood was the latest star to feel the ire of the Internet, when he Instagrammed a photo during Jay Z and Beyonce’s Los Angeles concert Monday night.  The photo features Wayans in selfie mode, throwing some side-eye at a young lady with her arms in the air next to him.

“Man I got the most UNRHYTHMIC WHITE WOMAN dancing next to me at the jay and bay concert…” Wayans tagged his photo. “This bitch dancing to AC/DC.”

Needless to say, people were quick to call him out, even going as far of accusing  the photo and caption of being blatantly racist or containing racial undertones. The “unrhythmic white woman” in his photo, Delta Goodrem, an Australian pop star with a devoted following Down Under also took him to task.

“Absolutely NO reason why you should feel good about putting someone down. Little do you know, she is an Australian treasure,”reads one tweetin response to Wayans’ photo.

Wayans went on the offensive, tweeting, “I love that all these people calling me racist cuz I stated a fact. She can’t dance. Apparently neither can u. Now fuck outta here.

“one day people are gonna understand… I simply don’t give fuck. And I refuse to succumb to this new world order if not having an opinion

“All comedians, say what u say and let it be said. Never say sorry for a fact, just say fuck off. Be you, be true.”

Overall, Wayans seems pretty delighted at the so-called controversy. “This shit is even funnier second time around after all the controversy surrounding it!” another tweet reads, along with a re-post of the photo.

He also re-posted the original photo in black and white, saying, “In Black and white… Still can’t dance. I’m gonna annoy u annoying sensitive asses with collages and repost of this for floodin’ my damn timeline all day.”

this honestly made my entire day
